~ Concert Events ~
Whatever the event might be, Matt has the ability to stir the heart. Whether through his stories, his music, his human videos or even his very unique shadow world, he will not only engage and entertain an audience, he will minister to them in a very impacting way. Matt cleverly weaves lifes issues and his own testimony in a web of imagination and melody. His unassuming boy next door presence puts people at ease as he invites them along on a journey using his talents and Gods Word as the vehicle. When its all said and done you will think it had just begun. ~ Singer/Songwriter ~ With the simplicity of a piano and a guitar, Matt has been blessing people with his songs for close to 12 years. His 3 recording projects have touched peoples lives all over the world. ~ Worship Leader ~ A natural outflow of Matts creative musical talent coupled with his love for His Lord has led him toward worship. Matt has a gift of dissapearing when it comes to leading people before the throne. With taking newer choruses, old hymns, and even some of his own songs, he offers a worship experience that will leave your focus on God and not on him. ~ Dramatist ~ Matt has always had a love for the power of theatrical arts which led him to pursue a degree in Communications/Theater. He portrays this through his characters that will leave you laughing one moment and looking for a tissue the next. ~ Storyteller ~ Storytelling is an art that has captivated audiences throughout the pages of history and is one of the oldest forms of communication. Whether its through his Shadow World, his songs or just sitting on a stool with his guitar, Matt will transport you to places where your imagination will take over and the lessons will hit home. ~ Speaker ~ Matt likes to take Biblical concepts and invite you to look at them through different glasses in order to gain new refreshing perspectives. Matt has been especially equipped for this through Ken Davis and the Dynamic Communicator Workshop. .......................................................... ![]() ~ Matts Testimony ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~ Matt was one of the fortunate ones, he was raised in a home that knew Jesus. It was through the ministry of the Awana program that Matt came to make a personal profession of faith at the age of seven. He continued growing up in that local church and found an outlet for his calling in the music and youth departments. At the age of seventeen Matt's father was killed in a tragic cabin fire. The next few years Matt battled depression from this great loss and while attempting to reconcile it with the sovereignty of God. It was in this tough time that Matt came to appreciate the Word of God and came to realize that God alone desired to be his ABBA Father. The ministry of Camp Forest Springs® had a profound effect on Matt in these pivotal of times. Matt often says, "I learned that I had a compassionate heavenly dad who desired to know me and be known by me. It was in those defining moments that I dedicated my entire life to God for His service. Naturally my ministry has become one that leads others to find a deep and real connection to their heavenly Father." Matt further developed his creative musical skills and his love for drama in service to Camp Forest Springs®. Every year Matt ministers to the thousands of people who come through the camp gates. As a Staff Member Matt has become a youth and family favorite and is contracted to be back for many future events at Camp Forest Springs®. Matt, his wife Tarah, and their three children live in Rib Lake, WI. Matt continues to travel the country leading in worship, sharing inspiring music, and presenting inspirational drama's. The family often travel with him. Yes, this guy is a family man! Matt's history allows him to share with students who have grown up in a Christian home yet wrestle with the questions of the "faith" being for them. He is able to minister to those who have grown up fatherless. He is able to share from his heart, and offer positive proof that Jesus Christ can bring healing to a heart. Matt inspires families to come together and realize the preciousness of what they have in God, life, and each other. His music moves you into the heart of our everyday world and finds the hand of God. Matt says, " I love watching people! Sometimes it is through a song and other times it is through a sketch...but all of the sudden their eyes light up and you know that they really get it! Those are the "moments" for me." |
